Are you looking for an efficient and experienced translator? I’ve been working as a professional translator since 1999, when I took my Master’s degree in translation at the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK. After working as an in-house translator at a UK agency, I set up my own business in 2002, serving clients on three continents. I’m a native Swedish speaker, and translate primarily into Swedish, from English, Danish and Norwegian.
I take assignments within a wide variety of text types and subject areas. I have particular experience with translating technical documentation and user manuals within consumer electronics, home appliances and computer equipment. But I’ve also translated e.g. product reviews for a digital photography magazine. I recently started taking subtitling and proofing assignments, and I spend on average one day per week at the editorial department of Observer Sweden, writing and editing newspaper summaries.
Perhaps rather unsurprisingly, I enjoy reading and travelling. I live with my husband and two sons in Stockholm and in Borrby in the very south of Sweden.
I am thorough and reliable and my rates are competitive. I work only with the latest CAT and office software. Please browse my web site for more details and don’t hesitate to contact me for a quote or translation specimens!
